If an illegal alien staying in Korea reports himself and leaves the country, he or she can leave the country without paying a fine, which is a criminal punishment for illegal stay, and the entry ban is suspended when re-entering Korea.
The above voluntary report departure system for illegal immigrants is temporarily operated from November 7, 2022 (Monday) to February 28, 2023 (Tuesday).

Exemption of fines* and suspension of entry restrictions for voluntarily departing until February 28, 2023 (Tuesday)
* Including exemption from fines for applicants who voluntarily leave the country accompanied by a person under the age of 17

Exceptions to voluntary reporting of illegal immigrants
However, there are illegal immigrants who are not eligible for the above system.
- Effective date 2022.11.7. If you become a new illegal alien
- Foreigners who enter Korea illegally, foreigners who use fake passports, those who have received criminal punishment, those who violate the COVID-19 quarantine rules, and those who do not leave the country even after being ordered to leave the country cannot benefit from the above system.
