When to obtain qualifications for regional health insurance in Korea
① As a foreign resident, etc., a person who falls under Article 109 (3) of the Act (a person who cannot become a member of the workplace) shall obtain the status of a regional member on the day falling under any of the following subparagraphs:
- Foreigners who have registered as residents, Koreans who have reported their residence, and foreigners who have registered as aliens are eligible for residence in culture and arts (D-1), industrial training (D-3), coverage (D-5), religion (D-6), Presiding (D-7), Corporate Investment (D-8), Trade Management (D-9), Job Search (D-10), Professor (E-1), Conversational Guidance (E-2), Research (E-3) ), Technical Guidance (E-4), Professional Occupation (E-5), Arts Performance (E-6), Specific Activities (E-7), Non-professional Employment (E-9), Sailor Employment (E-10), Visiting Cohabitation (F-1), Residence (F-2), Companion (F-3), Overseas Koreans (F-4), Permanent Resident (F-5), Marriage Immigration (F-6), Others (G-1) ) (Limited to those who have been granted humanitarian permission under the Refugee Act and those designated by the Corporation), tourism employment (H-1), and visit employment (H-2) ( approximately before the status of residence) . ) If you have lived in Korea for more than 6 months: The day after the 6th month . 2. In the case of any of the following items, the date of entry into Korea

- The day the job subscriber loses his or her dependent status
- The date of birth (limited to newborns with a foreign national or foreign national or foreign national who is a domestic resident eligible before the date of birth)
When to lose the status of regional health insurance for Korea Health Insurance
② Local residents, foreign nationals, etc. who are regional subscribers, lose their qualifications on the day they fall under any of the following subparagraphs: <Revised July 11, 2019>
- Day after the day of death
- The day the job enrollee became a dependent
- The day following the end of the period of stay under the Immigration Control Act
- The day following the date on which the deportation order under the Immigration Act was issued. However, if an objection is filed under Article 60 of the Immigration Control Act, it shall be the day following the date on which the decision to review under Article 60 (2) of the same Act is finalized.
- The day the local subscriber applies for exclusion from enrollment pursuant to Article 109 (5) 2 of the Act . However, if a local subscriber who has not paid the insurance premium or a local subscriber who has not passed 14 days since the first payment of the insurance premium meets the requirements of Article 4-2, Paragraph 1 and applies for exclusion, it shall be the date of obtaining the qualification.
- The day after the day of departure from overseas (limited to cases where overseas residents or foreigners who have not expired in the third period of stay have left Japan and stayed abroad for more than one month)
- If the householder who has a householder’s status of residence (D-2) or general training (D-4) has delinquent insurance premiums, it is the first day of the month following the month in which the due date is due . However, this is not the case when the delinquent insurance premium is paid by the end of the month to which the due date falls.
