E-7 visa is a type of visa in South Korea that allows foreign nationals to work as management and diagnostic specialists. These individuals provide services and advice related to analyzing and redesigning company operations, management methods, and organizational functions, as well as advising and counseling on accounting issues for companies or accounting firms according to foreign laws.

Common professions that qualify for an E-7 visa include management consultants and accountants according to foreign laws. When applying for this visa, an employment recommendation letter is not always required, and this applies to small and medium-sized enterprises.

To be eligible for the E-7 visa as a management and diagnostic specialist, the individual must possess a master’s degree or higher in a field related to their profession. If an individual has a bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field along with at least one year of work experience in the field, they are also eligible. Additionally, individuals with five or more years of work experience in a field related to their profession, where overseas work experience certification is required, are eligible. However, individuals who are accountants according to foreign laws must possess an accounting license.

There are some special requirements for those who meet certain criteria. These include individuals who have worked for more than one year in a professional role for one of the world’s top 500 companies, possess a bachelor’s degree from one of the world’s top 200 universities, or have graduated from a domestic vocational college with a relevant major, or have a bachelor’s degree from a domestic university.

Companies seeking to employ foreign nationals on an E-7 visa are not subject to the restriction of employing a minimum percentage of Korean nationals. However, the minimum wage requirement is set at 80% of Gross National Income (GNI), or 70% for local small and medium-sized enterprises.
